DOMINIQUE Y. ZERVAS-FOLEY

Ms. Zervas graduated from Sehome High School in Bellingham, Washington, and attended Western Washington University. After working in theater and film in the United States and Europe, Ms. Zervas completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota, graduating summa cum laude. Ms. Zervas obtained her Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she was an Associate Editor of the Law Review, competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for her extensive clinic work, and from which she graduated cum laude.

Following graduation, Ms. Zervas served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Sam Hanson of the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and then joined the firm of Kelly & Berens, P.A., a Minneapolis law firm specializing in complex civil litigation. The following year, Ms. Zervas joined the Langabeer & Tull offices in Bellingham, Washington, where her primary practice areas included land use, real estate, business, municipal and gaming law.

In April, 2010, Ms. Zervas opened Zervas Law, P.S., where her practice focus is on land use, real estate, environmental, water, municipal, appellate, business and gaming law.

Ms. Zervas serves on the City of Bellingham Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and is the liaison for that Board to the City of Bellingham Arts Commission. Ms. Zervas just completed her second three-year term on the Board of LAW Advocates, which provides free legal services to low-income Whatcom County residents. She also served as Vice President, and then President of the Whatcom County Chapter of Washington Women Lawyers, during which time she was recognized as a Chapter Member of the Year. Ms. Zervas continues to be a member in good standing of the American Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association, and the Washington State Bar Association, and is admitted to the bars of the states of Minnesota and Washington, and the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.

Ms. Zervas is fluent in French, and semi-fluent in Spanish.
